Checklist for Speeding up Your Computer |

- Is it just your computer? Are others suffering from the same problem?
- Is it long-term, gradually becoming slower all the time?
- Is there anything that happens that makes is slower than normal?
- Does your computer have at least 1GB of RAM?
- RAM is cheap now, upgrade and get the most RAM you can fit into your computer. The best thing you can do is take out a stick of RAM, or all of it, note how many slots you can fill and take the RAM to the computer store. They’ll be able to give you the right RAM for your computer.

- Has your computer been maintained?
- Cleaning out your PC, literally is a good idea to do once a year. Use canned air to blow the dust out of the box.
- Have you checked for viruses, malware, spyware?
- Have you checked to see what you computer is doing? If you’re using any peering software then you’ll have to delete it.
- Have you got the latest Microsoft patches for your computer?
- Have you removed all of the unwanted or unused programs on your computer?
